My friend shared this with me. It’s a crayon drawing done by her cousins daughter who will be 9 in May (‘13). It’s oddly beautiful. Disturbing but not too because the images are smiling.

Black Pus - 1000 Years

Animation by Brian Chippendale using flip books he made in 4th/5th Grade. Really beautiful.

I created a petition to fight ugly racial hate, cruelty, and just plain stupidy on a particular FB page.

boxcar-rodeo:

This page, supposedly for a ‘fictional character’ is basically a vehicle for the authors to be cruel, spread racial hatred, knock Obama, and make fun of retarded people and people who don’t fall into the norms of conventional appearances. I do not mean punks or goths, I mean people who have what are generally considered ‘facial flaws’. People who were not blessed with normal genes for what is considered acceptable attractiveness. But making fun of people with Downs’ syndrome is pretty much what moved me to start the petition. An example of their satire. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=513947575299000&set=a.284733808220379.91474.284730191554074&type=1&theater

"Yesterday I saw Globetrotters on tv there so tricky no wun can get the ball." Graham Batting, age 6 sometime in the 1970’s.
My friend Graham graciously allowed me to post some of his childhood drawings which I remembered him posting on FB. He grew up to be in a few punk bands and is a terrific artist who specializes in customizing boats. I think he’s also done some large scale graphics for a stadium. He lived in Scotland as a kid. He says this is meant to be Geese.

I love his creative spelling in this one. You can see the Scottish influence in his misspellings of ‘put’ (poot) and ambush (amboosh).

“Blue. I remember coming back to America in ‘73 and trying to tell kids about the Dalecks. I couldn’t tell if they were afraid of me or the Dalecks.” Graham Batting
